This course will include instruction, demonstration, and practice on the administration of Nitrous Oxide / Oxygen Sedation used in dentistry. It will describe the history and evolution of Nitrous Oxide / Oxygen Sedation, pain and anxiety management, physical properties and pharmacology, respiratory anatomy and physiology, patient assessment, the signs and symptoms of sedation, technique and recovery as well as management of related medical emergencies. 

Total Credit Hours: 16 (10 hours didactic / 6 hours clinical)
